Leonardo Da Vinci's Sfumato
Discovering the missing links of the Renaissance
I’ve spent the past 10 years researching the Renaissance period, because I couldn’t believe no portrait of Christopher Columbus alive ever existed. Supposedly, what we have are portraits made from descriptions, 50 years after he died. Nonsense! How could it be that a man of his status would not have his portrait? Soon enough, I discovered not one but several portraits of the hero, painted by the most famous painters of his era. Leonardo Da Vinci and Sandro Botticelli. In light of my discoveries, I wrote a novel, Mona Lisa’s Mad love affair; now available electronically, soon to be printed. and an Essay, Da Vinci’s sfumato – The Revelation downloadable (no charge) from my site.
